Featured Artist: Brian Hibbard
William Brian Hibbard is a professional painter and sculptor who his actively a part of the growing art scene in North Carolina and across the nation. Born and raised in South Carolina he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting from Winthrop University. Hibbard’s artwork can often be seen in the nations’ most prestigious homes, galleries and public spaces.

Alex works mainly in water-base clays. “I mold, cast and finish my work in bonded materials at my studio. I use foundries for casting in Bronze and my techniques allow me to use foundries all across the USA to take advantage of the best pricing possible. I think sculpture is most effective when conceived knowing beforehand the location and purpose—and is monochromatic or has the same basic finish throughout. I admire abstractions, but I think they
work best when combined with the human form or natural world.”
